The Golden State stands up again against human-trafficking in cosumerism

Great news rang through California’s legislature Monday when Governor Schwarzenegger signed a bill that penalizes big businesses for selling goods that have been touched by slavery and labor exploitation.  The new law, the “California Transparency in Supply Chains Act,” forces companies to be accountable for not using slave-made goods by posting their policies online ensuring that their supply chains are slavery free.

Way to go, California, for taking a fantastic step in the right direction to make sure that responsible consumerism is starting from the top and trickling down to us, the consumers.  Now it’s our job to make sure we are buying with integrity and holding these companies to this newly formed economic commitment.  Lives will be saved because of this positive forward momentum and you can help be a part of that!
