FTD Commits to Ethical Practices

In April, FTD announced their launch of their first ever Fair Trade certified flower collections, joining the only other major US based flower company that offers Fair Trade flowers, 1-800-Flowers. Now, they are taking that commitment one step further by creating a code of conduct for suppliers and providing a website for their customers that will explain the origin of their flower orders. The cut flower industry is notorious for several serious abuse cases in workers’ rights such as using child labor, forced labor, sexual harassment and forced overtime.
