Wyndham joins in the fight against to prevent child sex trafficking

The voices of nearly 14,000 travelers who signed a petition on Change.org has finally  been heard. On July 28, 2011, the Wyndham Hotel Group joined the ranks of Hilton Worldwide and Carlson Companies by signing the “Code of Conduct for the Protection of Children from Sexual Exploitation in Travel and Tourism”. By signing this code, the companies are required to commit themselves to six criteria to prevent child sex tourism and child sex trafficking from taking place on their properties. The U.S. companies that sign this code report annually to ECPAT-USA, which is a non-governmental organization that works towards preventing the commercial exploitation of children around the world.
