Arrests made for involvement in sex trade

On July 25, 2011, over 1,000 people in Mexico were arrested due to their involvement in human trafficking and prostitution by the federal police. During this raid in Ciudad Juarez, at least 20 minors were rescued as part of  the AMBER National Alert Program, directed at finding missing children in Mexico. This program is a network linking police, prosecutors, non-governmental organizations, citizens and the media to assist in the location of missing children.
